Carlie and Stephen @ Stockton Parish Church

July 25th, 2011

At the weekend I photographed Carlie and Stephens wedding at Stockton on Tees Parish Church. It was a bit of a last minute booking but I am so thankful for it as they were a fantastic couple. Stephen’s is the church minister and conducted the service. I am pretty sure it was one of the most special and probably the weirdest he has had to conduct especially when he had to answer his own questions.

The service was unlike any I had previously attended having a live band play the hymns everyone was signing along. A family friend also did a speech mid ceremony and he was really enthusiastic and I know Stephen was wondering how he could follow such a brilliant speech. I wasn’t sure who exactly he was but I would say he must speak publicly a lot.

Carlie and Stephen are away now on there Honeymoon headed to sunny St Lucia well enjoy and I will see you soon.

Nichola and Stephen

July 24th, 2011

Nichola and Stephen had a fantastic wedding at the Grand Hotel in Hartlepool. It was the first time I had photographed this venue and well WOW what a fantastic hotel right in the middle of Hartlepool.

The wedding went smoothly and Nichola looked fantastic in her beautiful wedding dress and Stephen also didn’t disappoint in his uniform. We used a local park for the wedding photography where Nichola and Stephen had pre arranged and had a collection of doves ready to set off, well for Stephen to set off as Nichola was a little anxious about them.  Here are some of the wedding photographs.

Middlesbrough wedding photography – Nicole and Daniel

May 11th, 2011

On Saturday I had the pleasure of being able to photograph Nicole and Daniel. The wedding was at the Sacred Heart Church in Middlesbrough. This was the first time I had photographed at this location and what can I say but WOW. It was a brilliant location and I am glad I had the opportunity to photograph here.

Nicole looked absolutely stunning along with her beautiful bridesmaids and flower girls. Following the brilliant wedding ceremony Nicole’s sister stepped up to sing Ellie Goulding’s version of your song and watch this space as she was breathtakingly talented.

I am sure most of you can remember I did an engagement photoshoot with Nicole and Daniel last year which can be seen here. Keep your eyes peeled as we are planning to photograph this fabulous couple again in the future.

Sacred Heart Church, Middlesbrough

May 11th, 2011

Sacred Heart church in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough is possibly one of the nicest venues I have come across so far. A beautiful interior in the church and a stunning garden. And if thats not enough then Albert park is just next door. As a photographer this venue is brilliant.

Scorpio Kickboxing show British title night event photography

May 1st, 2011

I was asked along to photograph Scorpio’s Latest show which looking at the bill promised some fantastic fights. On the night we were not let down with some fierce competition which seen the crowning of a new Pro-am Senior British 57k Champion.

The show started With Scorpios own Jak “wak wak” Jowers against Kaash Patel from Saxons Gym, this was a good match between to young fighters with the match ending in a draw both Jak and Kaash can hold their heads high.

Onto the girls when again Scorpios fighter Hannah Sivills put on a winning show against Saxons Hannah White. A very competitive bout and a fair result I thought. Following this was Scorpios Shannon Flynn against Shannon Graham from Newark this again finished with a win for the Scorpio Fighter.

Following this came wins for Scorpio fighters Rob Bennet and Dale Mathie against very tough opponents Adam Jenson and Nic Demetrius respectively.

Peri Mason followed with his 60kg WKA Junior Area Title show against Liam Croft of Warriors gym. The Vacant title was well battled for and both gave it their all with Liam coming through the victor. This was a very very close match and I think Peri can hold his head high and will hopefully get another shot in the not too distance Future

Following this came Kieran Jones who Demolished Richie Lappin of warriors gym with an excellent display of skill, control and talent. Richie however battled through the fight and only found out with less than 48 hours’ notice he would be in the ring.

Dimitri Kalatzis of Scorpio had a difficult match to follow but boy did he deliver in his match against Patric Lo’Bianco with again a brilliant display of kickboxing, speed and stamina from Dimitri. The match finished with a TKO for Dimitri.

Scorpio then went on again with Kelly Sivills against Kristina Peek of B.M.A.K.A in a great match with Kelly coming out on top.

We then seen Stephen Jahn beat Jordan Reid with Jordan only finding out 10 hours earlier he was fighting.

Marcus wood of Scorpio then went on to beat Tojo Evbuomwan of Aiki with Tojo’s corner throwing in the towel.

Glenn Coleman of Scorpio had a match against Dean Petty for the second time and this was possibly my match of the evening, two very good kick boxers who both went for it with full force. In a close match though Glenn came out winner.

The Penultimate event of the eventing seen Kev Moy of Kuei-Ling tae on Paul Elliot of Lion Hearts gym this was a Brilliant match which even left the ring with Paul taking a tumble over the top rope and onto the judges table. Paul recomposed himself to take the win.

The final and Main Event of the evening saw Lewis Fallon of Newark gym challenge Mick “the Destroyer” Dunford of Scorpio for his Pro-Am Senior British Title. Lewis the former amateur World Champion put on a great display and beat Mick on points with only a point or two in it between most the judges.

The event was a roaring success from my opinion with the crowd enjoying it and the fighters making a great show. Of course this event wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for all the behind the scenes work carried out by Scorpio and senior coach Gary Jowers and the sponsors of the night. Here are some pics I hope you enjoy.
